Krk Island
Croatia's largest island, connected by bridge
Krk is Croatia's largest island, connected to the mainland by an impressive bridge built in 1980. The island offers rare variety — from the lively beaches of Baška and Malinska to the quiet coves of the northern shore, through inland vineyards of Žlahtina wine and Benedictine monasteries.
Things to do
- •Baška — one of the finest pebble-sand beaches on the Adriatic
- •Krk town with its cathedral and Venetian walls
- •Vrbnik perched on a 48-metre cliff above the sea
- •Tasting of the native white Žlahtina wine
- •Cycling routes through the northern part of the island
Getting there
Rijeka Airport is located on Krk island itself (Omišalj). We reach every other destination on the island within 20–60 minutes. We also cover ferry arrivals from Cres and Rab.
