Zadar
Home of the world's most beautiful sunset
Zadar is a 3000-year-old Dalmatian city that Alfred Hitchcock called the place of the world's most beautiful sunset. Alongside Roman and Venetian ruins in the old town, it is now famous for Nikola Bašić's unique installations — the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation.
Things to do
- •Sea Organ — a musical installation played by the sea
- •Sun Salutation — a solar disc that lights up at night
- •Roman Forum and St. Donatus Church
- •Day trip to Kornati or Paklenica National Parks
- •Restaurants serving fresh pašticada and prosciutto in the old town
Getting there
Zadar Airport is 8 km from the city centre. It's an ideal base for northern Dalmatia: Krka NP (75 km), Plitvice NP (130 km), Split (160 km). We offer transfers with a meet-and-greet at the airport.
