Kornati National Park
Eighty-nine islands, islets and reefs
The Kornati are the most indented island archipelago in the Mediterranean — almost uninhabited, with no fresh water and no roads. Bare white islands and steep 'crowns' facing the open sea drop into deep blue water, and the park can only be reached by boat.
Things to do
- •A full-day boat excursion from Murter, Zadar or Šibenik
- •The Kornati 'crowns' — sheer cliffs facing the open sea
- •Diving and snorkelling in protected waters
- •Lunch at one of the island taverns in a sheltered bay
Getting there
There is no road access to the Kornati. Excursion boats leave from Murter, Biograd, Zadar and Šibenik — we drive you to your departure port and meet you again when the boat returns.
